They are unshielded twisted pairs (UTP), a popular type of cable consisting of two unshielded wires twisted around each other. Our UTP ethernet cable is made up of 24 AWG copper internal conductors, Insulation (PE), and a PVC jacket which offers both kink protection and flexibility. The RJ45 connectors have gold plated pins that prevent corrosion all of which make the CAT5e cable compatible for speeds up to 10/100/1000 which is commonly referred to as Gigabit networking speeds.
